Emil Bergkvist Rally

Emil Bergkvist from Sweden along with co-driver Joakim Sjöberg will drive in the World Rally Championship in the class WRC2 during 2017, as official driver for the Belgian team J-Motorsport in a Citroën DS3 R5. Emil and Joakim will also act official test driver for Citroën Racing.

- It is the second year we are driving for J-Motorsport, and it is the first time we run two seasons together with a team. So it feels good to get into a season and be familiar with all of the team, mechanics and the car. The car has also been developed, which feels good, Says Emil.

Emil and Joakim became the 2015 European junior champion together with Opel. And 2016 they set for the World Rally Championship, WRC, together with the Belgian team J-Motorsport in a Citroën DS3 R5. 2016 they drove four races in WRC2, with a seventh place in Rally Sweden as best results. 2017 they are driving WRC2, starting in Monte Carlo at the end of January, along with J-Motorsport. And the goal for 2017 is to be fighting at the top.

- Our goal is to be the best Citroën in every race and fight for podium finishes WRC2. But most important is to finish every rally, Emil continues.

Emil and Joakim are also official test drivers for Citroën Racing. And will spend many hours behind the wheel.
